APPLICATION FIELD

It is used as a primer before application of bituminous membrane or bitumen-based water insulation material on horizontal and vertical surfaces in the interior and exterior areas. It is used as a vapour blocking water insulation layer for the insulation and protection of concrete surfaces. It is also used in foundations, retaining walls, terraces, silos, warehouses and building facades.

  • Has a single component.
  • Ensures that the bituminous materials coated on it adheres to surface stronger thanks to its superior adhesion.
  • Ready to use and easy to apply on the surface.
  • Environment-friendly as it is water based.
  • May be used safely in enclosed areas as it does not contain combustible and poisonous materials.
  • It is applied as cold. Does not require heating and thinning.

APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

  • The surface of application shall be free solid, clean, free of dust and level.
  • The surface shall always be free of materials such as form oil, paint, dust etc., and shall be fully cured.
  • Any cracks and holes on the surface shall be filled before application.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

  • SUTOP® EBT-ASTAR shall be used by diluting with water at a ratio of 1/1 – 1/2.
  • Surface temperature should be between minimum +5°C / maximum +35°C.
  • It should be mixed sufficiently before application.
  • It should be applied using a brush or roller, in equal amounts in one direction, and care should be taken to avoid pooling.
  • 300-500 g/m² of product should be used in a single coat.
  • Full curing time is 2-12 hours.
  • SUTOP® EBT-ASTAR should not be applied in wet weather or weather conditions where precipitation is expected.
  • The newly applied material should be protected from rain until full curing is completed.
  • It should be applied to the surface using a brush or roller.
  • Application should not be made on the primer before it dries.
  • Equipment used should be cleaned with water immediately after application, and with industrial-type solvents after drying.

RECOMMENDATION

  • It shall be protected against water, frost and extreme weather conditions.
  • Broken or opened packages shall be closed immediately and consumed as soon as possible.
  • Never apply in wet weather and on wet floors.
  • We recommend that the application shall be performed between +5°C and +30°C.
  • Storage conditions shall be considered while it is transported.
  • Do not apply under direct sunlight.
  • Do not go beyond the application field and the rules.
  • Do not inhale it directly. Wash your eyes with plenty of water in case of contact with eyes, seek medical attention if required.
  • If you want to cover the surface of the bituminous layer with any coating such as ceramic, tiles, etc., it is recommended to protect the bituminous surface with protective layers before advancing to the application. Contact our technical department to get information on this subject.
